City Talk

I work at the Chicago Cultural center (when I’m not making commercials and movies). I suggest if you have never gone to the cultural center or haven’t been in a while you should go if you ever want to see a shadow of what the cultural center was because soon it will be changed forever. If you do go, you should see the current art exhibits especially the one on the 4th floor (Washington side) because it will be the last art program shown there, the department that handles the exhibits has already been let go. if you go you might also want to check out the events schedule as many of the programs will no longer be offered after this season, I would tell you about the amazing cooking classes but those filled the week they were offered, and will never again be offered. If you would like a coffee or snack while you are there, you’ll have to go to one of the neighboring coffee houses because the cafe in the Randolf lobby has already been closed and gutted. If you go try not to notice too much, the worried expressions of the employees who have wholeheartedly worked to make this city culturally rich only to watch it be slowly disbanded.

Why? well I don’t have all the details but I hear it’s to improve tourism….
