I didn’t accomplish everything I wanted to do on my trip to Sicily. We should have been there a bit longer and I should have taken more pictures and I was too broke to get souvenirs. 10 days seems like so short a time when you consider I haven’t seen my family in 5 years. In the past I would usually stay for a month or so, but my occupation makes it damn near impossible to be away for a week let alone a month without missing a job (I missed a few while I was away even in this slow season.

I did however get to see my family who I really missed. I studied Italian a few months before going because it was important for me to be able to really communicate with them this time. It paid off and I was able to engage in conversation with my family I wasn’t perfect but I was expressive.
