The above Images are very nostalgic and, in a way,dear to me. one is by Photographer Gregory Crewdson the other is a screen shot from an anime (ergo proxy).

 The images are of places in Pittsfield MA, the post industrial wasteland stuck somewhere between the shadow of its nostalgic American history and the bleak reality of what it’s become. It’s where I grew up, it’s part of my history. It seemed so uninteresting at the time, it’s strange to see it represented in such a romanticized way. 

but I guess there is something romantic about growing up there. walking those streets looking for something anything to occupy ourselves, especially in the summer. Avoiding bored cops and causing minor property damage, while walking to and from the only 24hr dunkin doughnuts. Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days of carelessness, back when I was invincible.
